The new version contains a wide range of updates and new functions.
The most important ones are:

External access to persons outside your company

It’s now possible to add external users (collaboration partners and customers) to on-premise Connections installations. Once the user is registered he or she can collaborate in communities and on files. The external users have a specific access which can be controlled so that you can keep them away from content you do not want them to access. On all files or communities which are open to externals it is clearly marked that the content is shared with externals.



File synchronization directly with the desktop and mobile devices

Via the new Desktop plugin it is possible to synchronize files directly and automatically to your desktop.
